The Bikery is owned and operated by members of our dedicated and enthusiastic staff. Our shop opened in 2016 and has been closely focused on becoming the best and most customer friendly bike shop in Florida.

Meet the Owners:

Taylor Norton - General Manager

Taylor has been involved in retail sales

since 2005. First working at a major
athletic shoe store and then for Flying
Fish Bicycles in Tampa. Taylor is one
of the founders of The Bikery and has
been our Chief Bike Guy since we opened.
Taylor has studied the science of Bike Fit with legendary fit specialist Paraic McGlynn and received certification with both Retul and Slowtwitch fit systems.
Taylor loves riding road and gravel and when schedule allows he likes to stay fit cross training with a run.

John Johnson - Service Manager

John has always been drawn to learn how things work - which led him after high school to get his certification in mechanical drafting and precision machining from Pinellas Technical College. After working in the bicycle industry for several years he attended United Bicycle Institute and was certified as a master mechanic and wheel builder. John is also a USA Cycling licensed race mechanic and has worked as a neutral race mechanic. John continues his education to stay up to date with all the major bicycle brands, new products, and technology.

Thang Van Luong - Manager

Born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

Thang: "Ever since I could remember I have always been on two wheels. I started off riding Bmx Street when I was a young boy then eventually hopping on a fixed gear bicycle which made commuting a whole lot easier. Eventually I started working at a bike shop in Tampa. I would commute 32 miles a day 5 days a week rain or shine to get to and from work. Then I discovered the road bicycle. After watching the Tour de France I realized that a road bicycle would be more efficient to get to and from work. Once I got the road bike I started looking into cycling shoes and clothing to make my commute more comfortable. I eventually started riding with the local cycling club, SPBC. First ride I did with them I ended up getting a flat, that’s when John Sinibaldi stopped and offered to help me. At this point I thought wow these “roadies” are pretty awesome people! I got into road and crit racing for a few years. After a few years I found gravel cycling."

Neal Norton - Taylors' Dad

After a 30 year career making movies world wide, Neal decided it would be good to take a break from travel and try something closer to home. Taylor was working in the bicycle retail business and Neal thought working together on a cycling business would be a fun project. In 2015 Dad talked son into leaving his job at Flying Fish Bikes and to lead the development of Saint Petersburg's newest bike shop.
